Creative projects based at Nottingham Contemporary for women in the East Midlands. Groups of women with a range of complex needs work with artists to take a break, explore and make new art, meet new people and develop self-confidence and resilience. Projects help women to move away from challenging circumstances and to feel more positive about future employment, volunteering, training and education. Loudspeaker projects are part of a wider regional programme called Opportunity and Change.
In 2020 Loudspeaker was shortlisted to win the Museums and Heritage award for Learning Programme of the Year, and the Culture Health and Wellbeing Alliance award for Collective Power Award in partnership with Ideas Alliance.
