Trent to Trenches: Children’s Activity Backpack, 2014

Interactive workshops for Beavers and Cubs to explore WWI themes, and then designing an activity backpack for children to enjoy whilst visiting the WWI centenary exhibition at Nottingham Castle, Trent to Trenches. The backpack included a hat, compass, binoculars, activity booklet and pencil. The activity booklet was designed for children to use whilst visiting the WWI centenary exhibition at the Castle. The project included consulting with and training museum volunteers and staff who administered the backpacks for museum visitors to use.

Designing and producing resources and leading creative workshops for Beavers and Cubs on the theme of WWI. Designing and facilitating interactive consultation with Beavers, Cubs, museum volunteers and staff. Designing, sourcing and producing backpacks and contents, writing and designing an activity booklet. Providing notes and training for staff and volunteers.
